One For The Road...

One of our favorite local businesses is Rick's Wine & Spirits.  Located a mere mile and a half from our house, Rick and his staff have helped us keep the good times rolling.

They also carry a nice selection of local wine, like the four bottles of 2007 Tocai Friulano by the Millbrook Vineyards & Winery we picked up this evening.  It went very well with the grilled Halibut I made tonight.
I urge all of our visitors to stop by Rick's and pick up a few bottles on your way to see us.

Hey neighbors! Thanks so much for the"plug". It was indeed pleasant to finally catch up with you. By the way. I'm really glad you're here to live in the old Humeston/Holst-Grubbe House. It needed some lively fun-folks and the two of you fit that description to a "t".! Enjoy your dinner tomorrow with G & M. They are God-Parents to our daughter Catherine, and life-long friends. Please--I was serious... remember the offer on tools and implements of destruction if the desire to tackle something should arise. Rick
PS...was perhaps the "yellow" light actually warning lights on either a tree crew from the power company or road crew? Perhaps the tree was blocking the road, or on some power lines and they got called in? I doubt Jim (your neighbor) was up at 4;30.. He's nice guy you need to meet too!

Thanks, glad you like the post! And we might just take you up on your offer...we're slowly learning how to do projects around the house. For a life-long city-dweller, I have to take baby steps!

We'd love to have you guys over for a BBQ or drinks one night this summer...one thing I have been getting good at is cooking on the grill.
